- 2025 Taycan 4S
I haven't been to very many EA stations yet here in the northeast US, but my experience has been better than I feared. The fact that the J1.2 Taycan displays its target charge rate seems like something all EVs should obviously do - the number of people complaining about slow charging on plugshare seemed to jump as the weather got colder. I have so far not seen an EA charger deliver less than what the car is asking for.
Auxxi Horizon Commons in Rocky Hill CT was also good when I stopped there. 6 stalls, I think I hit 250 there.
Auburn Mall in MA was also good. 8 plugs (dunno why plugshare insists on counting both plugs on the older chargers where only one can be used at a time...) and there's an EVGo right next to it too. I hit 170 there.
I've so far only had one charging failure, and moving to a different plug worked.
But more chargers with more stalls would be a welcome improvement.
The EA at North Haven Crossing in CT has new chargers, and I hit 302 KW there before the upgrade. I've hit 270 since. There are only 4 plugs there though, which is a shame. It's usually busy.If they’re in the northeast, lmk which ones so that I can use them.
