I know without PPF and driving in snow (with all the salt out there) I was probably going to get a few scratches. But the paint seem to scratch so easy, anyone else ? And any advice on how to fix it?

The good news is that, when you do install PPF, you probably won’t be able to detect those scratches anymore. And you won’t get new ones.

Most scratches are superficial and just in the clear coat........a simple paint correction job should do the trick. Either can pay someone or can DIY (that's what I did in a previous life when I had time to spare - see example below).

Either way, the process basically removes micrometres of clear coat (and the scratches) - seeing this guy - https://www.detailingworld.co.uk/threads/polished-bliss-lamborghini-gallardo-ne-plus-ultra-tm.79859/ was what got me into doing it.

The "easy/cheap" way is you can buy a filler and apply it with a cloth and it'll just fill the scratch in - but over time it'll wear off and your scratch will still be there.

The scratch in the door looks like someone wiped it with a towel that had some grit in it. Either way, da polisher with some light compound would likely take it out. In the meantime, let them accumulate until you go to a detailer.

Wow! those scratches are from wiping, or cats or something scraping. The big white one looks like a jealous doorkey. This is not winter crud.
the rest are washing swirls. Whoever is cleaning your car, sew them!

If it bothers you I’d say you should get it polished and covered in PPF (unless you really want to get good at polishing your own car). Problem solved.

Just a thought, have been driven closely behind a truck? The car looks sandblasted?

PPF is the way to go and keep your distance especially on dirty roads, I would do a reputable detail / polish / correction first.
avoid:
- washing lanes
- washing outfits where they wash with one bucket and a mop.

always wash with A 2 bucket system, clean mitt and clean microfiber drying towels.
after a good detail all cobweb scratches will be gone, get a spotrepair guy to do the biggest chips properly and then PPF. Detail and spot repairs will cost you another 1k$ But your car will be restored 90% to new.

I just got quoted for $3500 for full front PPF, Cermaic tints and ceramic coating. They said they’ll also do full paint correction, but if you’re thinking the detail and spot repaid would cost another 1k I wonder how good their paint correction will be

I can’t tell, can you visit them, see some work and get a feel, when challenging them a bit of what you expect from repairs, no paint scars, all “cobweb” scratches gone, no lumpy chip fills etc.

These are jealousy-scratches. The best to prevent them is not having a car parking next to you (yes, you have a valid reason to become a-social now & take 2 spots)

Another way to prevent is to wash with a good technique. I have it for 1year, without PPF (but with a glass coating), and no scratches not swirls. Much foam, much rinsing, clean towels, will make the fun last longer :)
