Apologies if it's already been suggested/tried, but have you tried logging into the web interface as the tech user (separate password printed on the piece of paper in the envelope that came with the PMCC)? From there you may be able to delete the home user or reset the password (I haven't checked/tried).

Just, an update. I got a call from my PC telling me the PMCC will be replaced with a new one.

Here's my update: About three weeks ago, I had an appointment with my dealer so I could show them the problem with the PMCC. At first, they didn't understand the issue, but they called me into the service bay to show them what was going on. Once I demo'ed it for them, they agreed that it was a problem and they gave me one from a car on the lot.

The new one works great. No issues!
