No, you should not be using it, as it is the worst. Mine has never been out of the bag since purchase. The only way I can see me using it is in absolute emergency.

Yes, get yourself a better 3rd party (we can help you choose), ideally direct wire, and expense it to Porsche since the letter states you can get one, and they will pay for it. No, do not choose the cash option, or you will never see it. Yes, choose a service voucher instead. I submitted my request by e-mail, and next day got the service voucher. Then apply that for any service. I spent mine quick on another car service. Yes, do it quickly before that offer is off the table.

Do you know if we can get a 3rd party charger and expense it to Porsche even with this new update to the recall for the new cable? I don’t see anything like that mentioned in the email I received today from Porsche.

I have pulled the recall letter from my records and unfortunately the reimbursement expired on August 31, 2024. The letter is dated January 22, 2023 (may be a typo) as APB6 recall. I submitted my reimbursement request in March of 2024. I would still try your luck and submit it anyway by e-mail as follows and have some excuse why you could not do it sooner:

VIN: Your VIN

Proof of Ownership: Attach

Proof of Purchase: Attach 3rd Party Purchase Invoice

Mailing Address: Your Mailing address

Preference: Service Voucher
