I've replaced them on my 993 and 997. Leave the car in the sun, or use a hair dryer to heat it up a bit. It will pull off, and not damage the paint. leaves a mess of glue behind.

They do yellow over time, very evident on a white car.

Wow, i have never taken notice about this! How interesting.

I won’t be PPFing the rear door panel, but I do plan to have ceramic coating done to the whole car including PPF’d area, so hopefully it can prolong the yellowing rate or I hope Porsche factory has started using better/more advanced PPF.

My PPF installer who's done many Taycans and also did PPF for the nearby Porsche dealership said he always removes them. He removed it on mine and it didn't damage the paint. Leaving it on or cutting around it seems like more trouble than necessary.

Okay, talked to my installer today, and he sounded like he knew about it already from past Porsches he worked on. He told me that he’ll use heat and “special” tools to remove them without leaving a residue or damaging the clear coat.
