Thank you! I’ve been looking for photos forever. Any chance you can take photos in daylight of the screens? Wanted a better look before my order locks!

I have them. Don’t order them. Get the prep for now and wait until Porsche sort out the data and cross link. Currently it only supports Netflix and their data package gives you 10 hours streaming (2x5 hours) per month with no option to top up or extend. So the screens go dead until the next renewal date.

While you could hotspot your phone that stops you using Carplay so it’s a real mess.

Apparently these new screens came in in 2021 for all cars with promises of updates for crosslink and other streaming services but nothing has happened as yet. That info came from my OPC who are as baffled as I am.

Picked a car up with this optioned yesterday.

i want to have them removed and the dealer tried for 10 mins and couldn’t get them out.

Has anyone had them successfully removed by a dealer? Suspect I’ll need to book it in - but would I be charged?

I would have thought they would, unless they decide on a goodwill gesture.
But I can see why you may want them removed. I had a loaner with them, and being curious person, tried playing with them- they were shockingly useless. They could sticky tape just random PC monitors from a computer shop and called it “Porsche entertainment “

Porsche should do an adapter mount that gives power and leave it there.

Damn. Might have to combine it with a trip to dealer I bought from then (not easy as 160 miles away). In hindsight I should have asked them to do it in readiness for collection

I did set them up last night and got Netflix working but only via house WiFi. I’ll never have people in the back (or very very rarely) and just want to get them out. Mad they can’t just be removed but suppose that’s a security feature

Agree. I know they have a knack of making money but don’t understand these in the days of tablets etc.

To be fair I’d want them out if they were brilliant. Not keen on being on show despite the privacy glass seeming to be a lot darker than my CT.
