I've had problems with every OTA update I've done (I've gone through around four now), and I wonder if there is anyone else who has experienced similar problems?

Right now I'm having trouble with the WTD4 OTA update: I received an update message in the PCM while driving a couple of weeks ago, but decided to do the update once I was back home (just in case something would go wrong). But after having parked the car, turned off the ignition, then started the car and driven home, the update message is then gone, and doesn't return until I'm out driving again. This has now repeated itself several times, but today the message came up on my way home, so immediately when I got back (and the message was still there), I followed the instructions to the point (which I've done every single time, yet I've always had problems; the update has rarely worked on the first installation attempt and it often takes several attempts, and sometimes it has gone through (according to my local PSC) even though I never received any confirmation message...), but when I was going to do the installation today, there was a bug where nothing happened when I pressed the install icon (the message just switched between being highlighted and not highlighted, and when I pressed continuously, only the delete message option popped up). So I did a PCM two-finger reset, but then when I went into the message menu, the OTA update message was gone again...

Has anyone else had similar problems with this, or has it worked like a charm on your first attempt? Is it normal that the message appears and then disappears, so you just have to wait until Porsche sends it out again (which for me in this case has taken between half an hour and several days)? And when you have managed to install the WTD4 update, did you get a positive confirmation message or no further messages at all?

At this point I'm quite frustrated with the way Porsche handles the OTA updates, never once has this worked smoothly for me... :-(

When the message pops up and gets grayed out, go to the AC menu (not the shortcut in the trackpad) and once there turn it off, and try again. This worked for me.

Thanks for the tip! For me the message never grayed out, it just toggled between high-lighted and not high-lightened when I selected it, and I also went into the AC menu and turned AC off before, but the procedure still behaved as described above, I'm afraid...

Haha, same here. The only thing that works is “read aloud”.
Car stopped, in park, power off. Tell it to do update. It starts to do it, but as soon as I open the door it all stops, and there is a confirmation message that says it has stopped, and no changes have been made.
