Remove front lip

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm planning to do this.
Is there any reason you did not paint the middle portion? Do you regret not painting that part?
I'm planning to paint that part gloss black but was wondering if there was any particular reason (e.g., not looking good) for not doing it.

I did not paint that because it is textured plastic and would have required a lot more work. The “blades” that I painted gloss black, that is typically painted body color on the turbo model comes as a smooth paint ready piece. I have no regrets as I think aesthetically painting the center would not appeal to me regardless of the difficulty to do so.

Hello everyone, I drive a 4S sedan and would also like to swap the original front lip for the one from the Turbo model! The car doesn't have a SportDesign front apron. Could someone please tell me the parts and part numbers needed for the conversion? Does the inner grille have to be replaced? Thanks for your help and information!

Here is the finished product, first picture is of the original front lip, and I'm sure all of you already know what that looks like, followed by pictures of the Turbo front lip conversion with the "wings" painted gloss black as my preference to match all the other gloss black on the GTS.

It is a subtle difference for sure, especially going with gloss black instead of body color, but it makes me happy!

This is on the list to do!

Hey my friend, highly recommend reading through this whole thread, I have listed part numbers on a previous post, here is a link to the whole kit at Suncoast Porsche where I purchased from although they kill you on shipping since it is a big box. The parts list that I posted earlier might get you what you need from your local Porsche dealer without having to pay for shipping.

I have managed to source the parts on Ebay except the rear frame for less than 300 quid.

So I have acquired all of the parts for less than 500 quid and they are all in good condition. Im wrapping the trims in Carbon fibre.
Coincidently I spotted at GTS bumper with carbon trims on and most of the other parts for 250, seems a bargain as I know how much the carbon trims are alone, must get it and I look at it as recycling!
