Replacing the rear tail light

I went ahead and ordered from the same seller on ebay. The light bar arrived from Lithuania in less than a week, and I have never received a package that was wrapped better than this one. It’s a quick install and mine works flawlessly. Very happy with how it looks, quality is great as well.

Have you tested to see if the words light up when you turn on either of the blinkers? Or when you press the brake pedal during the day?

No, blinking or breaking does NOT activate it, as soon as the DLR is on - it comes on.

Oh that was someone else, I think. For me it was plug and play but it wouldn’t work as advertised because as a 2024 it requires additional coding or setup.

awesome! Mine arrived quickly but then was stuck in trumptard tariff hell for weeks. I was also given the privilege of paying another $80 in taxes. I’ve been assured Lithuania will be remitting repayment to me any day now. lol

I’m glad you got yours in time and got it installed. I am still confused by the tariffs and especially how they are calculated. Mine was here within days , but a few days ago ( long after delivery) I got an email from fedex, wanting $17 in import taxes. After making sure the email was legit I went ahead and paid it - just confused on how you had to pay $80 and I had to pay $17.

Yea…if the light bar is OEM without it being modified you’ll need coding/programming.

There were lots of lawsuits and judgements against the tariffs and how they are applied has changed in some cases. I suspect that’s why. Complete sh!t show.

No shit. I went looking for transistors to replace the underspeced MOSFETS in Porsche Taycan OBC. The tariffs on those are almost half the sale price!!! The number below if from Digikey, but I checked other suppliers, they charge similar percentage! Given that it's 48% of the (marked up) sale price (which accounts for profit, but also shipping, distribution, spoilage, returns, etc), does this mean our current administration is charging well over 100% in tariffs on electronic parts?!?!

EDIT: Perhaps it's the electronics suppliers who take advantage of the tariffs confusion, notice how the tariff goes up just because Digikey packages up the part differently (not something that happens abroad, DigiReal definition here, so should have no impact on tariffs, unless tariffs are now imposed on final sale price, so if you import a screw for $0.10 but sell it as part of house you built at $500K, the tariffs apply to $500K price).

Anyone with the illuminated Porsche logo have their light bar coded to always on? I'm thinking about doing the conversion but wondering how the logo looks illuminated during the day.
