Anyone in the Seattle area have a recommendation for wheel repair? I am fairly certain I hit a nasty pot hole on my way into work and curbed one of the wheels. I have the 21 in Cross Turismo design in satin black. Thanks!

Sound Wheel Works in Bellevue has repaired my Model Y 21” curb rash perfectly and would be my go-to.

I was recently researching the same. I found Rain City Wheels in Kirkland (https://www.raincitywheels.com/) can powder coat the wheels after refinishing them -- $250 and takes 2 days.

In Seattle I found Complete Wheel Repair (http://www.completewheelrepair.com/). I found they're not very responsive on the phone, but email or stopping by there works. They can turn the car around same day (drop off 8am -- pick up around 3:30). Costs $187 altogether ($170 + tax).

They do a spot repair and try to blend the paint. It shouldn't be noticeable from farther away, but if you know what to look for up close, you'd notice where the repair was.

Is there something about Seattle roads (I’m in the area too) that just gobbles the 21” CT wheels? I’m familiar driving with 21” in my Model Y and has not been an issue besides being cautious with curbs. I would like to also get the same wheels but this and @philbur has me thinking.

@whitex what wheels did you order on your incoming car?

Im actually loving our 19" setup.. we have the silver wheels for our winters and the black accents for summers. Ride is smoother, less pothole worry, better range, cheaper tire cost.. it took a bit to get used to the look and now loving it!

Im officially against big rims with rubber band rubber! only mistake i made in my config, but i also USE our car and throw everything at it. Just did our first whistler trip which was AMAZING and tons of pow pow :) no charging issues or anything - just our bellingham tacotime+electrons stop at EA :)

I made an appointment at Rain City Wheels and will report back.

Roads are just in a horrible shape in Washington. They always have been that way since I lived here but I think they are actually getting worse. With no history of cold winters in the past, the road maintenance schedules are sparse. More recently winters started having some deep freezes, which cause road damage as water seeps into cracks, then freezes and expands, then melts away. The local governments are scrambling to even catch up with snow removal which lately comes a couple of times per winter and sticks around for few days. I'm sure the deep freeze we had last month left some scars on the roads. When I moved up here from California over 20 years ago, I had a 911C4 with low profile tires - HORRIBLE daily driving on those in Washington compared to California, I told myself never again, unless it's a dedicated track car, or I move to a different state.

Thanks for that!

I came from NY/NJ before moving here 6 yrs ago and to be honest I thought the roads here are pleasant by comparison. Roads are so bad over there a Tesla would not survive. Dealt with tire bubbles and flats frequently and 4-wheel alignment are necessary every year or 2.

I do agree the last few years the winters here have been pretty bad. Driving my Model Y through Fremont and residential areas of Seattle is jarring and it now reminds me of NYC driving.

Most of the Eastside which I usually am on is still in decent shape. P Bellevue strongly advised getting the wheels I love and sees no problems with the 21” on the CT with the roads “in our area.” so.. The Model 3 on 19s will be used for the Seattle driving ;)
