Hi guys,

I noticed some strange lines on the hood of the prototype.
It's the exact same line that looks like the hood of the concept.

Also, there seems to be some additional lines around the mirror.
Maybe this has something to do with the rear view camera (red circle)?
Maybe rear view cameras are an option?
Just like Audi did with their E-tron?
Interesting, right?

I thought that line on the hood was just the outline of the vinyl wrap to conceal the real lines. Could be wrong.

There's still an entire ring of camouflage surrounding the headlights. When that comes off, the headlights should look even sportier - more inset.

Re: hood lines - I think the curved outline is to (presumably) throw people off, mirroring the lines of the panamera. They did the same thing with the 992 prototypes, where the actual hood lines where pushed down (and more square), harkening back to the 964 lines.

That is correct.......and personally I do not know why they went back (again) to a squared-off trunk on the 992.

Yea, that is one of the things I personally don't care for in the 992 design in addition to the larger size. The main reason I upgraded my 997.1 TT to a 997.2 TTS rather than going to either a 991 TTS or 992 TTS. Perhaps the edition replacing the 992 will be more pleasing to my eye?
I sure am hoping the Taycan is close to a Mission E and not an electric Panamera.

You have a good eye :) ....997.2 was a very good body for Porsche, as well as 991....tried to get a GT3 allocate, missed it....looking used.
Like you I also will be skipping 992 (have a list of reasons why) :( .

That looks like a place for a camera as you mentioned. That’s where it is in the Tesla Model S

Does anyone know if a car w/o rear view mirrors with cameras in there place will pass US specifications?
