Hi

I have read through a few posts within the forum and if anything it has sent me into a more of mild panic.

in the uk we have had some slightly colder weather and since then my car has been being up the red warning sign regarding the battery.

I will be contacting the dealer but has anyone else been experiencing this?

it is also worth noting that I have had concerns of range since purchase of the car and hit not hitting anything near what it should be.

Thanks

If it helps with the anxiety, the car is Porsche's problem to fix as it's still under warranty (unless you really stacked on a ton of miles for a 2026.)

Does the heater still work? I know at least one person who had the dreaded "Electrical System Error" that was resolved with a heater replacement.

Hi 2026, so a Gen 2, I went from a 2023 Gen 1 to a 2026 Gen 2, I have to admit even the range is winter is far better on the Gen2, the regen is afr superior. plus range anxiety in my humble opinion is a thing of the past as one Gen2 range, plus there are so many more chargers (working) around, i use Ionity for obvious reasons and if you compare 2023 to 2026 map of locations it massively improved, just look at the number now just of the M1.

This could be a one off on your car as i've not heard anyone else with Gen2 experience any issues.

it's down to minus 8 in Northumberland but still getting 190 miles range for 85% charge on my 5 year old Taycan 4S. Love getting into a toasty warm car having put pre conditioning on for 30 minutes prior to leaving the house. Amazed at battery operating temperature when on the road (12 Deg C versus 30 Deg C in the summer).

Can I ask what range is expected from the 2026 Taycan, mine is 4S, I get 200 miles on 80% battery in this Cold weather, is that normal?

Range seems about right at circa 250 miles @100% charge in the winter.
That will stretch to approx 300 miles in the summer.
