Hi,

I have had a Taycan for just over 2 years. 1st year everything was fine but the last year I have had 5 issues with the charging ports (listed below).

31 August 2023 – charging port issue first reported, fault codes indicated issue with left hand charging port which was replaced under warranty
24 January 2024 – WND, HV Charger, Charge Socket and HV Line replaced under warranty.
08 December 2023 – fault codes indicated issue with right hand charging port which was replaced under warranty
23 April 2024 – fault codes indicated issue with right hand charging port and was replaced again under warranty
23 May 2024 – Car Charger Cable got stuck in the port - Porsche Assist came out to release it. Went into Porsche dealership and no fault codes were recorded in the vehicle memory, no fault found

I use a home Rolec charger and that works fine, but the issue keeps occurring.

The dealership fix the problem under warranty but they don`t know why it keeps happening.

My issue now is that I just don`t drive the car very far as i don`t want to be stuck away from home when it happens.

Has anyone had the same issue or something similar and how did you resolve it? Any advice/ideas?

Thanks

Not the exact same thing but my car constantly errors out when trying to charge. Been to the dealer for over five months now and still no fix. They have replaced the high voltage charger twice, 13 faulty cell modules, regular battery, and some other components. Yet something is still overheating and fails the charge.

What’s annoying is the dealer can’t replicate it as all their chargers are outside. So of course when the car has been sitting for days and is cold with a nice breeze it never overheats. However if you try to preheat the battery or charge it in a garage it won’t charge.
