@Alex74

Fast DC charging seems to be a lot cheaper through the Porsche card (with my rates 0,35 kWh/0,45 per minute)

One example
a charge at a Allego Fast charge
43,4 kW in 10 minutes for 18,69 with Porsche Card
Shell recharge card the same charge would have cost me 36,89 euro

slow charging for several hours (7 hours) with Porsche card is still a little bit cheaper than my Shell recharge backup card (a couple of euro’s)

hence my question which cards you guys are using …

I will usually use fast chargers when needed, unless during a city trip when you charge your car slowly at night.

You are correct for the fast chargers. However for the slow chargers Porsche asks 5 cents per minute and 33 per kWh and Shell 1 cent per minute and 49 per kWh. Charging 2-3 hours will still be cheaper but don’t leave it plugged all night. That’s also the intention for the fee per minute.

All slow chargers here in the neighbourhood cost 0,65 kWh (no fee per minute) in the Shell recharge app. So even a 7-8 hours charge is more expensive at Shell compared to Porsche.
Do you have a paid subscription at Shell because you have a cheaper price than me (0,49 kWh vs 0,65)?

No same as you. Just checked same for me in Belgium. I am in Austria for the holidays and here it is the price per minute and kWh I mentioned. I only use the card abroad and assumed it would be the same everywhere. In Belgium I only charge at home. I do always check the price before starting charge and chose what card is best.

Anyone know what's happening with the IONITY units at Wetteren Zuid? They seem to have installed some new ones so there are about 8 now, but in the last few months I've tried to charge my Taycan there a few times and most haven't worked at all. Only once did I manage a charge, and power didn't go above 50kW despite pre-heating and having a low state of charge.

No idea, but I recently missed a flight because of these stupid chargers. Not a single one was working.

Just got a second-hand 4S 2025. I’m looking for a dealer to go to for maintenance. Any recommendations? I live in the province of Antwerp. PCM, PCA, PCP are all not too far.

The same yesterday - one charged me to 40% then threw a fault screen, 3 others wouldn't even start charging.

And don't get me started on the appalling sign posting at these services, as far as I can tell you have to drive through the petrol pumps to get to the parking area then out of that area to gain access to the chargers. All without obvious signs. I ended up wandering through the diesel area then the wrong way up the charging lane to get to them.

@Throb Noted Wetteren Zuid as POI to avoid. May I also nominate Q8 at Aalter? Stay clear. Took the bare minimum to roll on to Esso/ChargePoint Drongen Zuid. They advertise 300kW but weren't really willing to dish out more than 150. Still, 3x what Q8 made available.

And at Esso/ChargePoint Kruibeke Noord, the chargers would not recognize my Porsche card (nor would any QR code scan). Fun and games.
