Thanks for the update. September production is the start of MY2023
So for sure it will be a PTS build for you?
Thanks ... I went for 'custom paint' - ie from the pre-approved list.

Yes that is all approved in Ultra Violet for delivery in late 2022.We pick it up again in Feb-March 22. I also tried for Signal Yellow knowing it was not on the list - no dice.

They now differentiate 'PTS' - and in addition to 'custom paint' they use the term 'colour to sample' (CTS) if you want to match your granny's curtains etc. - or any Porsche colour not on the list. And that is many months and £6K+ additional. Not what I went for.

cheers

You can get Signal Yellow but the costs are prohibitive - £12K+ plus the wait time (2 slots a year I think). There are 2 levels of custom colours as indicated above - Paint to Sample (£6K+) and Pain to Sample Plus (£12K+) where feasibly any colour of your choosing can be provided. In any event Porsche has to approve it but I'm sure they'll take the money if you're happy to pay top $ for the privilege.

The cult colours make a comeback: even more individual paintwork
In the ‘90s, Porsche introduced a number of highly colourful paint finishes to its range. These quickly achieved cult status among fans of the brand and are especially popular today on classics like the 964-generation cars. These eye-catching colours are now making a comeback. As part of the continually developing personalisation strategy of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the Taycan is now also available with Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus in addition to 17 standard paint colours. The first option allows painting with 65 additional colours, at present. This includes the Moonlight Blue Metallic, Acid Green, Rubystar Red, Riviera Blue and Viola Metallic colours that are so characteristic of the brand. Paint to Sample Plus gives customers almost complete freedom in their choice of colour, even permitting them to match their Taycan to their favourite accessory.

Isnt Signal Yellow a special color that can not be created for any other model. like Gulf blue?

Yes I knew Signal Yellow it was not on the list - but would be available as a CTS - but asked the question anyways just to be sure.

I don't think there is rhyme or reason - you CAN now get Gulf Blue on the Taycan from the pre-approved list.

Sorry, I just updated my post with the official Porsche article one the Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus.

There will be some limitations but the only way to know is to ask 'permission' and then challenge their own statement (as per the article (last sentence) if they don't agree.

Perhaps they use different terminology in different countries or regions for the same thing - in the UK config it is Custom Paint (list) and Colour to Sample (free choice if approved)

Anyways I am happy with my choice now.

cheers
