The thread was posted in Jan 23 so figure he’d of made his decision by now…

But, i guess in case anyone else considering going independent, I wouldn’t personally at 2 years. Madness imo to save a few quid. 4/5 years possibly a different story..

What I take from all or most of you is, we/you don’t trust the main dealers to play fair come trade in time. Even thought you are not going to be treated anything other than a customer with a car they probably don’t want. £3-500 will pale into insignificance

I have my 2 year service due next month...

I booked my car into local dealer for the updates and they said Heater exchange programme - my heater does seem ok for now..

Took in on thursday morning and they gave me a Macan (not the Taycan GTS i had requested as i was doing a big drive and didn't want the fuel hit!)..

Have chased them and no updates now and car obviously isn't ready - had a panic as insurance on loan car expired and i'm now having to pay for parking outside my house as my own car has a permit and you can't transfer it.

Off to Cornwall tomorrow so now having to go in this underpowered thirsty car which will probably cost over £100 in fuel compared to minimal Electric charging due to free destination charger.

Not impressed and will be asking them to pay my fuel costs and see if they will do the service gratis.

I've had insurance extended just now but i want my Taycan back!!
