Thieves are almost always targeting watches with the greatest mass market appeal (like Rolex) versus some more obscure high horology brands unknown to the average non watch enthusiast.Because of scatter gun marketing everybody has heard of Rolex, so probably more risky to wear than watches from the smaller top makers which most people have never heard of!
Still so many style elements are shared between many luxury brands, some watches may be mistaken by a thief as a Rolex or similar brand from a distance and now you're a target.
