Installed wheelbands rim protector. No need to remove or deflate tire, easy to install on the wheel face .

Happy with the outcome . Gives the comfort feeling ....in case if I were to hit the curb, something out there to protect those wheel....

That's a great idea and I love your spec, which looks suspiciously like mine!

Can you direct us to where to buy them?

PS. Consider tinting your windows and it'll look exactly like mine!

I had these on the 22" rims on my Tesla Model X. They help with minor rubbing (e.g., you notice right away and stop), so in that sense, they do exactly what they were designed to do. But if it is a major curbing event (e.g., a good long scrape before you realize because your radio is on or if you hit a curb in a round about or turn in a little too sharply to a driveway with a curb due unexpectedly sharp turn thanks to rear axle steering -- guilty as charged during my first week -- it will rip off the protectors and scrape the rim anyway). So, this is not a complaint or a suggestion that the product does not work, but rather a mild warning that you still need to be very, very careful and this will not protect against medium to heavy scrapes. See #6

Also, I wish recessed rims were still in fashion. Then I would not sweat a little abrasion on the bead as it would not be too noticeable.

Both cars were separated at birth !.

Regarding the tint, back windows were tinted with Avery Dennison 40% . I did it myself , wanted to try, but wouldn't repeat ?

Alloygators have a bit of a bad rep as the metal fastening clip can come undone, potentially flying off and scratching the bodywork.
Never used em - caveat emptor! :)

Hi everyone, new on the forum, as I just purchased a Taycan 4S from 2021 (still not on my hands unfortunately ???), and looking for guidance. I was wondering if instead of installing those thing on the rim, what about mounting tyre that are a bit wider than the rim? I previously own a Tesla, no one is perfect, and this was the case, tyre was wider than the rim, thus, was very difficult to cause damaged to the rim. Any idea if this is feasible on the Taycan, and if so, what tyre will best fitted for the 20” wheels. Thanks a lot for the support ?.
