I started with a white 4S

Porsche Taycan Taycan 4S transformed with full stealth wrap makeover AXNJ6241[2].JPG

I had the following done:

- Full stealth PPF wrap (the deep satin pearl effect is really cool but I will tell you that this was a very difficult wrap to apply. It's really thick and hard to work with. They had to do the front bumper 3X before it was perfect.)
- Wrap mirrors gloss black
- Ceramic
- Smoke clear wrap on front markers
- 22" Vossen HF-5 in Satin Black
- Michelin PS 285/30ZR22 Front and 335/25ZR22 Rear

This is what it looks like now:

Love it.
I've been contemplating doing the exact same thing- going factory on wheels and paint and then doing Vossen HF-5's as well as a wrap. If you don't mind me asking- 1. ballpark cost on the wrap? 2. what sort of mileage are you getting on the Vossen's?

The wrap was $8000. I had other quotes up to ~ $11,000. The stealth PPF is really difficult because it is much thicker than standard vinyl wrap. Ensure the wrapper is going to "bulk" it rather than using the standard cuts they use for gloss PPF. Otherwise, you will see some gloss coming through. Ensure that they remove the mirrors. No need to remove the door handles as long as they commit to a "bulk" sheet for the door that they can work around the handle.

I don't have a lot of mileage on the new wheels yet. My best guess is that I lost 10% range (compared to the 20s.) It's hard to say though. With the new wheels, I think I have been driving it harder. The new tires are wider than stock. With 285/30ZR22 Front and 335/25ZR22 Rear, I have a lot more rubber on the ground. (the rears are over 13" wide.) 10" wide wheels up front and 12" in the rear. There aren't a ton of tire options yet. Vossen will push you into what i got but if you are worried about range you could push for a 21" solution that isn't as wide. Personally I don't care about range. I have other cars for road trips. The Taycan is all about looks and acceleration.

Great pictures - the car looks fantastic.

Are the headlights the black ones you can custom order from Porsche, or did you put a tint over them?

Any thought to updating the rear light strip to the black one?

Thanks in advance.

I find it Kind of hard to appreciate the matte film on a white car for some reason? I’m guessing it’s just the camera. Probably looks great in person. Like the wheels too! Who did your work?

I agree, but this is not a dig as I am sure the pearl is much more pronounced in the right light. However based on the pictures, it still sort of looks.....well, white? Perhaps I am the only one as I know you are excited and that tells me it is a drastic improvement from what you had.

Perhaps some pictures during sunrise or sunset or some off-angle lighting will really make the pictures capture the pearl that I am sure you see in real-life.

I know there are some issues with some of the standard and premium Porsche colors that also have this same 'washing' effect when taking pictures of them, but are much more dynamic and exciting in person.

At any rate, congratulations, I am just bummed that I can't experience the dancing-pearl that you are able to see with the naked eye!

Cheers.

Did you lower the car with lowering links? It looks damn good, maybe it's just the 22's that make it look lowered.

My inspiration for my GTS is your Taycan! Stealth PPF, black accents, black 22's. Thinking yellow calipers and I got the volcano grey. ☺

I have a set of S21-01s sitting right next to me waiting on tires. Vossen was trying to get me into a 22" set but we ended up going with 21s and NF0 P-Zeros that are on their way now.

Are you on air or steel suspension?

The lights are all factory, standard 4S. Didn't change them. I actually really like the rear rear light strip

The camera definitely doesn't do the "satin" justice. It really defines every line on the car. Wrapjax in Woodinville did the work.

I did not lower it. That is a the factory "low" height.

I have a friend who specializes in taking shots of cars. I challenged him to capture the true essence of the pearl. I'll send them out after i get them back.

The black mirrors look great. I have not seen that done before on a white Taycan but I really like it!
