Well I started out planning on doing the 4x8 ft ABS 3/16 Plastic sheet to make the Front Splitter and Side Skirts.

We didn't finished the Machine we need to make to make the 4x8 ft ABS 3/16 Plastic sheet. So we did a right turn and I made Fiberglass molds for the Forged Carbon Fiber. Not a huge fan of Forged Carbon Fiber but it is growing on me.

I still plan on making it in the ABS Sheet

I'm sure I'm going to get lambasted for doing this, but it's my car.

I like to Customize all my cars. I'll show you the lighting system I installed on it next week. I don't want anyone to loose their minds.

Enjoy it if you like it and if you don't, it's my car.

I am confused.
Is that wet layup carbon in a thermosetting resin or hot pressed in a thermoplastic matrix?

The idea that one could actually “forge” carbon fibre makes me laugh - it is a marketing BS term.

FWIW I like the look much much more than glossy weave.

I'm not bashing you. I appreciate @PCASSOO bringing the heavy MOPAR vibes to the Porsche Taycan community. Different strokes...

Brave soul😂

I do enjoy looking at mods as sometimes they are a gem and others might not be to my personal liking, but who cares. It’s your car. Cool to see your thinking, it is not just slapping on some random material. You followed some of the lines already there and build on that, like the indentation of the front splitter following the original splitter. You obviously enjoy tinkering and creating.

I personally like the small subtle mods. Did I spot a little red mark at the top center of you steering wheel?

Looks good to me! I have a soft spot for the old 90s modding scene and love seeing these mods even if they’re purely cosmetic.

He's got an aggressive (in my opinion) aftermarket steering wheel that has a red line in the middle. If I recall correctly, it was throwing codes early on...

I love the back handed compliment RingoDingo.
Your Awesome.
Your right I am aggressive with all my cars.
As far as the Steering wheel codes I messed up the Clock Spring, that what was throwing the codes. When my buddy fixed the Clock spring there were no more codes.
Yes I had a Custom Steering Wheel made for my car. I Love it because it has a bigger diameter and it has a great look and feel to it.
I didn't make up the name of Forged Carbon Fiber, I just bought it. I made Fiberglass molds from the wood molds i made. I then used a Wet Layup and Thermo Setting Resign and added the Forged Carbon Fiber.
I will never question the Cost on Custom parts again. It was a lot of work and time I put into the making of these. But I think it was well worth it. Don't want to ever do it again, but worth it.

Is the forged carbon fiber smooth or bumpy? The side skirts appear to have texture to them, but that may be an optical illusion.

I won't waste money on these. You are going to cry as soon as something happens to them. I would cry harder if i got a sport turismo instead of cross turismo, the plastic saved me from paint damage when someone hit my rim which did scratch the plastic too.

This it bollox technically, I'm afraid, but doesn't stop it looking nice.

FWIW I was a pioneer of the use of carbon fibre structures, starting in 1977 when it was pretty new. I am familiar with its properties.

This stuff is short chopped strands and is easier to mould compex curves but structurally nowhere near continuous fibres (though it doesn't need to be in cosmetic applications)

It is used to stiffen injection mouldings too.
