I managed to order a Hex V2 adapter for 3VINs.
In my country it was only possible to order unlimited ones, that's €600...
Long story short: I found a supplier in Germany and ordered one, €305 including shipping.
So now we wait...
Following this Dee, can you provide me/us with the name of the German supplier? I'll await for you to conduct several tests and when satisfied I also will be ordering the module.

Today I connected the laptop to the car and start searching for the control module.
I found it:

You can select the different channels (it's in German of course):

But unfortunately I can't change the value cuz the module is secured by a SA code (security access code):

Apparently the 12345 doesn't work, unfortunately.
So, off to the Ross-tech forum.
These codes are available but that will take some time...

Still, I'm watching YouTube vids to learn more about VCDS.
First I want to make a backup of my car in case I screw up things.
To be continued.

I managed to make a full back-up of my car so that's succes #1.
And now the best part: I got the SA (not the WSC), that's the Security Access code: 24084, succes #2!

@taycanlovers : here's the proof, changed from 399 into 410mm. :giggle:
I can also bleed the dampers, it's all in there.

I also tried to switch on wireless Android Auto but no luck.
It just isn't there and doesn't work on MY20 cars.
Ah well, it was a good day.

From the drop-down menu ("new value") you can select ON or OFF but it doesn't do anything.
I removed my old connection and made a new one, plugged it in (USB) but after unplugging it still didn't connect so I give up on that one.

As I saved my entire config of all the control modules I can go through them one by one on my computer instead of sitting in the car.
I come across many things, like the ConBox (Control module 75).

Here's the adaption of remote locking:

Here's the actual number of the sim card (I think):

Anyway, still haven't found what I'm looking for: the activation of the passenger display during driving.

Had air suspension lowering links from Vivid Racing installed for a minor 5-6mm drop. Enough to look good but not slam it or compromise ride quality:

Exactly, that looks much better.
My links provide 10mm and that's enough.
I tried 20mm but I could clearly see the increase in camber so that would need realignment so I switched back to 10mm.
At the tyre change there was no excessive wear on the rear, the front had some more wear on the inside but nothing that would need realignment, according to my dealer.
Besides, if I raise the car just one click I'm already in the OEM set-up so I think 10mm is the sweetspot: better looking and no compromising in ride quality.
So why am I doing it by software now?
Cuz it's something new to learn and pretty easy and pretty cool too imho. 🤗

1) Cool you were able to! I'll do the same. Thanks for sharing - as always.

I also tried to switch on wireless Android Auto but no luck.
It just isn't there and doesn't work on MY20 cars.
2) Sorry for off topic - but it does work on mine. I had to connect it via wire first, but now wireless AA works.

Let us know if you find a way to control the spoiler. :)

Indeed, I'm looking for that as well.
It's a lot of work to go through all the data and possibilities, some functions go by adaption, others by (long)coding.
I still have to understand how coding works but the built-in code generator does help a lot.
In a way it's simple but just one mistake can make your module useless.
I do have the hex coding saved, just in case...

Also: not all modules are supported by VCDS but sometimes there are .rod files of familiar VAG modules but I don't dare to use them cuz they may act differently than the original .rod file of Porsche....you don't want to mess with that either.

At the Ross-tech forum someone is taking a look at my Autoscan and adp maps.
Their software is still developing so let's hope I can help them to open up the Taycan.

Thanks dee! Would be awesome to see what else is doable, and if you find a way to change ride height in each mode

maybe off topic here. I am from Hong Kong and own a 2020 Taycan, our Porsche dealer here doesn't enable Porsche Connect (or other connectivity related features) for MY2020 to MY2021 Taycans. Only MY2022 Taycan equiped with Porsche Connect. But some insiders in service center said actually all cars have the hardwares to use esim and Porsche Connect. Hopefully we (2020 & 2021 owners) can use Porsche Connect one day with VCDS!! Thank you @Dee

After the latest major updates, I saw on my phone there is wifi hotspot with my car's nickname available. I checked settings on my PCM, there is wifi hotspot enabled and I also found an IMEI in settings. So I guess very likely my car may have the required hardwares for Porsche Connect. Seems to me if a device 1) can share wifi and 2) have an IMEI, very likely it can use SIM or ESIM and connect to LTE/3G. I serached with the IMEI and I found the IMEI is from a thing called "CONBOX-HIGH with ALAS66A-W" not sure if it is the same conbox as you found on VCDS

That's the one.
It's control module 75 "Telematics".
Still you need a contract with the provider, or at least Porsche should have the contract but you can try, sure.
You need to turn it on in the adaption IDE04750
