Afternoon All,

I live in the UK and am lucky enough to have a GTS on order via my employer (as a company lease car).

I ordered mine in March and it's currently due to arrive in January, which isn't too bad compared to a lot of other stories shared on here. However, despite being pretty eagle eyed, I think I've probably only seen a dozen Taycans on the road since they went into production a few years ago, and I'm yet to see a GTS.

With that in mind, I was curious to know whether other people are spotting more Taycans than I am and whether people have seen many GTSs in the wild?

I've got mine :). A GTS ST in Volcano Grey. However, I did have to buy a launch spec car from a dealer.

Yes to GTS saloon, Taycan’s in general fairly regularly (4S, Turbo, CT etc…) and only the occasional ST, not seen one GTS ST, as far as I’m aware my OPC has yet to deliver one… In fact I’m supposed to be the first late November in the area, we’ll see eh...

I may or may not have seen a GTS or two, hard to tell on the road without pulling up right behind or, if the windows are down, getting a waft of too much Race-Tex.

There's a Gentain Blue GTS saloon which I've see a few times over the past 2 weeks. Lovely. Only GTS ST was the Carmine Red one which was hidden away at the PEC - Silverstone back in April. (The one my driver and the centre lead claimed they had never seen......)

Are you enjoying it? I ordered early Jan 2022 and prob still have another 9-10 months to wait.

It seems from the poll that more people have seen a GTS than me, but I think the people replying who have one might be skewing the results ;)

I have my track day at Silverstone next Tuesday so I will finally see one in the metal then :) ... but that still doesn't count as a wild sighting in my opinion, so hopefully it won't be too long before I see one on the road, but I expect that may not happen until I take delivery of mine next year. We'll see

I sold my previous car and was originally looking at the CT 4S as this seemed to be the sweet spot. I test drove one but it was just missing that little extra performance I had been used to.

Then I saw the reviews on the GTS and determined that this seemed to be the perfect balance of performance and price. I test drove a GTS ST and was really impressed. I was expecting to order one new and have to wait, maybe 6 months. However, to my shock I was quoted at least 2 years. I visited 5 Porsche dealers and all said the same story, but they all had a demo launch spec car, which was always either pre-sold or not available.

The spec of the launch cars come in 2 variants, that I call the sport and family versions. The sport version has all the Carbon packages whilst the family version has the roof rails, rear heating and 3 way split rear seats and prep for bike rack. The specs are pretty high with both screens and heads-up. I wanted a sport version. In the end I decided to ring all the dealers I could and eventually found one that had a GTS ST which they would sell to me for £3K over list. The caveat was that it would be immediately registered and then had to be put on demo for four months.

Anyway, I bought the car and picked it up in October. I've taken it on few medium distance trips on motorways and also some country roads. At this time I'm very impressed. On motorways it just cruises along. On the country roads it handles extremely well. You know you are driving a heavy car, particularly when braking, but it does hide its weight very well. The handling it very good and the brakes are solid, which means a fun time can be had.

I'm still undecided if I am going to put a deposit down for another GTS, that I can spec myself, but it is certainly a consideration. I was told that it is a 3 year wait at the moment.

I'm sure that you will not be disappointed, when you get your car.

If you have any specific questions, then I'll be happy to answer them.

On the little hill where I live, there are at least 4 Taycans - 1 or 2 white, a frozen blue, a cherry, and 1 or 2 black. All saloons.

The monochrome ones look similar so difficult to count, but I have seen them in different locations so could be more than one of each. No GTS as far as I am aware.

I see them all regularly - and soon I will add a slightly more garish CT-T.

It's like Taycan central here!!

I'm very pleased to hear you're enjoying it.

I haven't actually driven the GTS Yet. I test drove a Turbo and was very impressed. The Porsche salesman at the dealership tried to talk me out of the GTS by saying the Turbo was a lot quicker and the GTS was closer to the 4S but with fancy bits on it to make it look nicer. However, everything I've seen since actually points to the GTS being much closer to the Turbo (they share the same motors for instance). I thought the Turbo performance was also insane for the road (and the Turbo S must be even more so), so I'm not worried about the GTS being a touch less than that, but I also think the various blacked out fancy bits ?

On that note, I also opted for blacked out MIssion E rims over the RS Spyder wheels. I personally prefer the deep dish look of the Mission E wheels, but I think the RS rims look great with the Volcano Grey on your car ??

I presume yours also came with the Race Tex interior? I also opted for leather with mine as I have a 4 year old and a couple of dogs (who won't likely go in the car but their hair gets EVERYWHERE!). I prefer the look of the Race Tex though but I think it would just be a nightmare to keep nice.
