East Coast NA Vessel "Siem Confucius"

Vesselfinder is showing 12/23 ETA, but it's still moored. When Cicero left port, a few different vessel tracking websites were showing two different destinations (UK and the Netherlands). So not sure what to make of that 12/23 date. If it's vacation time for sailors, wouldn't it be now, rather than right around Christmas?

Perhaps it is waiting around a little longer than anticipated.

However these ships are for all of VW group, so that's a lot of people getting their cars delayed if this boat does indeed hang around in Emden until the 12th (again assuming an 11 day journey to davisville).


Edit: It does seem now all ship tracking websites are showing 12/23 ETA for Davisville. I'm gonna just assume this is a sick joke for now.

Davisville Port has Confucius arriving 12/3. When I was waiting for mine, Norad's schedule seemed a lot more reliable...but of course you never really know. If it is going to hit that date, it will need to leave Emden in the next day or so.

Oh thank God for this. Even though it says it offers no guarantee for berthing, it makes much more sense to me regardless. Never saw any of these ships hang around a port for an entire month.

Trying to keep all of you positive. If it gets to Davisville on 12/3, it takes about 3 days to get to Baltimore so 12/6-12/7 depending on when it departs.

12/23 doesn’t really make any sense in anyway. I don’t see why they would leave the boat in Emden for so long. Christmas break doesn’t make sense here either

Found this on rennlist. I guess they haven't uploaded this to the US version of the site, as this is obviously in German. But it does show a new date for the Confucius which lines up to the actual date it arrived, and has a date of 11/29 for Davisville (which obviously isn't going to happen at this point).

The good news is that, even if Confucius is stuck in port, there are 3 other boats for us Davisville/Baltimore people to catch, and 2 more for Jacksonville.

Technical problems with the ship, or staff shortages? Hard to say. It is important information because it would determine whether or not these future ships are going to be affected. I emailed my dealer to see if he heard anything, will report back when he does.

The Confucius is only two years old though, wouldn't think it would have any issues yet.

To be honest there’s also a chance that whatever the reason isn’t a big deal and it’ll leave the port soon. Here’s hoping haha
