I've a set of base wheels with all seasons that I mounted on the car for the winter. Initially, it had a repulsive effect. Bear in mind I have the 4s 19" wheels moving to the base 19" wheels. I looked at it again this morning and it's growing on me. I don't have the black inlays or black window trim I find that it complements the trim well.

Sure, the other wheels look better, but I'm just saying it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

So, I think UR referring to the 19" Taycan Aero wheels and saying you normally have the 19" Taycan S Aero wheels? If so, I agree that these are quite nice looking for "base" wheels. I also think it is really a good idea to have additional wheels for winter tires, the smaller the better.

I thought there was only one style of 19" wheels? I've seen some that don't have the black paint in the channels that look all silver (not so good). But the most common is the one on the current configurator with the black paint and silver "spokes." I put my Taycan Exclusives away and drive on the base wheels.

In 2023 model year they removed the true base wheels without the black paint. Now both RWD and 4S get the same 19” as standard.

Hmmm might depend on market. I'm pretty sure I could chose between base and base black paint (with additional cost) on my RWD

In the end I didn't care as I have some 21'' ready for it.

I saw one a few days ago.

I’m surprised how much it brings the overall look of the car from something in the 9-10 level of hotness to a 5-6.

The base wheels are objectionable at the very least and doesn’t belong on any car, not just the taycan.

I think Porsche is just bating customers to option out the hideous base wheels.

I like the look of the 19” wheels. I’m seeriously looking for a set for economy resistance to damage and comfort. I don’t mind the look vs 21” which in my view make the car look slightly ungainly and a bit pimped up. I know this view will not be shared by others but each to their own. I’ll probably paint them in aurum or dark grey which will compliment the Mamba green.
