Hi All - I just got my 2024 Taycan and I ordered the Mission E Wheels. I noticed the second tone was gray and not "white" to match the body color. Anybody had this issue?
Yeah, really boggles me as it’s about 1200 or so. A white car with grey wheel elements is an acquired taste if you ask me, maybe talk to your sales rep?
Congrats on the new Taycan by the way. Great color. Got the metallic white or the unicoat?
+1 to choose match to body color, especially to the white, and yes that is going to cost extra
The standard so called bright silver does not match anything and tends to fade/peel/chip based on my observations every time I saw those on the used examples and one driving around.
I have no idea how paint to body color will hold up but I sure love the perfect color match to body.
Personally I prefer the silver, but I have a silver car. 12k miles and I don’t have any chips on the wheels. I doubt color of the paint has anything to do with durability.
I really like the white painted wheels on a white car (Mission E concept look); otherwise, I think the silver looks good... including on my chalk car. While it's only been four months of daily driving, not a scratch or chip on my wheels yet.
Like the OP, I'll get the standard silver wheels with a Pure white body and to be honest I'm not sure I would have preferred them in white. Doesn't make much difference with with body color paint if you ask me.
