I'm wondering what makes the model type of the rim in the ride quality...
21 in wheels are 21 in wheels, what ever the rim is...

Ive no other Taycan to compare to but they are sweet to me. Speed bumps not much bother, better than other cars I’ve owned and the 21”s look so good. really no other option. I dont lke the mission-e coloured rims and the aero wheels sub 21” look just so bad on a beautiful car. I was , after test driving a Turbo with 20”, that the local speed bumps would be a headache, but I need not have worried.

Smooth as silk. My previous car had 20s and was crashy and harsh. I almost didn’t spec 21s for this reason but they’re amazing

are you talking about the 21 inch rs spyder rims and tires that are smooth?

I compared demonstrator CT4S on 21" and 20" tyres.
The ride was noticably better on the 20s, I was surprised by the difference and considered ordering 20s rather than 21s but in the end was swayed by the styling of the 21s - my favourite Taycan wheels are the CT 21s one of the reasons I chose the model.

I have had my car a year now with the 21" wheels and bought 20" wheels and winter tyres so can compare the ride.
The Taycan has limo rivalling ride on the 20s and whilst the 21s aren't quite as smooth compared to most cars the ride is superb on 21" in "Normal" mode.

The Sport and Sport+ settings hurt the ride more than the 21" wheels do.

Do you feel that PDCC is enhancing your ride quality in normal mode? (I guess it's hard to know for sure unless you've been able to compare directly without PDCC)

I didn’t do a with and without comparison and haven’t looked at a precise engineering spec but if the active system isolates one side of the car from the other on straight roads it will do, if it leaves the bar connected and just winds in an anti-roll torque when needed it will make no difference unless the bar itself has a different rate in this case.
It should be better but may make no difference depending on design, it can’t be worse.

I have had two Taycans both with 20 inch and 21 inch wheels - mission E wheels and spider wheels . Very little difference in normal mode. I feel The tire selection has more impact than the rim size or style . Ride is excellent for a sports car on either one. The guy who said the 20 inch has a limo like ride is overstating it a bit.

The handling on 20in is noticeably less sporty than on 21s
