Mine is hardwired but also includes low voltage monitoring in park mode. I also have mine set to only record 12 hours after parking, to help limit drain on the 12V battery.Something else occurred to me
Does a hardwired dashcam drain it even faster? I wonder if that is also causing an issue and I better get it disconnected?
Is there still a discussion of whether aftermarket dashcam can affect warranty?Mine is hardwired but also includes low voltage monitoring in park mode. I also have mine set to only record 12 hours after parking, to help limit drain on the 12V battery.
I’m 99% sure that one of our forum members verified using a measurement device and provided the charts as proof. I can’t recall who though.I'm also curious, as I know other members found documentation of the Audi GT and RS e-tron charging the 12V battery several times using the HV, but has anyone verified that our Taycans actually incorporate this same charging logic?
Not an issue in the US; don't know how it would be in UKIs there still a discussion of whether aftermarket dashcam can affect warranty?

Thank you all and this post nicely summarised the issue14.2 V is definitely an indication that your 12 V battery is being charged by the HV system. It should be indicating 13.4-13.5 V during normal driving. A 20-minute drive should suffice to get the battery charged. How long does your car set between drives? I’ve found the 12V battery starts losing power after a week or more of not driving…regardless of whether or not it’s plugged into a HV battery charger. I would also look into any external sources (dash cam) that my be draining the battery while the car is parked.
I will soon have a dash cam installed and I am asking that the installer include a switch that allows me to manually disconnect it. This dashcam has parking mode, which will drain your 12 V battery. My car generally sits about 10 days between uses, so I decided to add the switch.Something else occurred to me

It was put in by halfords and said it wasn't to the fusebox
Good to hear…and I suppose there’s worse situations than needed to drive your Taycan more?Thank you all and this post nicely summarised the issue
So last night I decided I'd do a motorway run which was 40min of driving
Just as well as the PCM warning was now "connect to charger soon"
It didn't actually drop from 14.4v all journey.
I unplugged the dashcam overnight
Plugged into HV charger overnight to find it hadn't charged and was generally sluggish
This morning went for a drive and saw the error/warning didn't come up, the 12v dropped from 14.4 quickly down to 13.4v and has stabilised there and the PCM is responsive again
So ir does seem like my sustained small local journeys and generally not driving it much took its toll but as someone mentioned the dynamo effect of the drive seems to have reset it for now
Have plugged back into HV charger and it's recognised being plugged in (last night the pcm remained dark)
Thank you all.
Will update anything else

Mine is at the dealer now for the low 12V battery warning and immediately shutting down within 1 or 2 minutes when parkedSimilar issue happened to me starting this weekend. I have no dash cam installed.
I suspect it might be the below 0 temperature recently in the garage this week?
Took car for a long drive, even to a high speed charger, still sees battery voltage at 14V or 13.9V, never drop. PCM constantly shutting down within a minute as well when parked.
