Some Dragy times with the Facelift Taycan Turbo S

- 0-100km: 2.4sec
- 100-200km: 5 sec (2 sec improvement over current Taycan Turbo S)
- 1/4mile: 9.83sec.

Plaid still much faster because the Turbo S has less HP when not in overboost

Definitely huge improvements.

But I did notice the facelift on the video still has the teardrop look on the headlights. Thought they did away with that....have to find some pics in the wild

Unless they compare head to head I wouldn't make an argument Plaid is much faster. Can't compare numbers due to too many viariables like road surface, ambient temperature, SOC, tire temperature and so on. 0-60 Tesla publishes is incl roll out for example. I am not saying Plaid is not faster but until there is no head to head I would wait declaring one of them faster. Look to at the track surface on the video...does not look like the grippiest. Also ambient temperature seems on lower end.

Having said that, the GT model is the one to directly compare the Plaid to.

The Plaid numbers are the exact same route for 100-200km are 4.3sec., 1/4mile 9.6sec

There's a lot of data on Plaid. 100-200 times range from 3.6 to 4.6, 1/4mile 9.2 to 9.6, depending on those variables you mentioned.

Very true about the Turbo GT and it will be faster in every metric compared to Plaid

Plaid will much faster than the Turbo S including the GT model still.
The 4S can outrun the regular turbo if he/she gets a better launch but does not mean under same conditions the Turbo model isn't faster.

Plaid is a low 9 second damn near 150mph trap speed car all without loosing much power from a roll (overboost always on)
I'm only talking straight line acceleration btw.

Do all Taycans extend the rear spoiler when launching? I didn’t know that…

For current model it only goes up this high at around 60mph. Both E-Tron GT and Taycan

I'm already harassing Mario at Redshift for the tune for J1 II. 1000hp all the time should help it at least match the Plaid

Porsche GT claims 9.6 1/4mile so you're looking at closer to 9.4 is the right conditions. That's not bad

Where does he mount the draggy do you think?
I have to find out if gluing the magnetic pad on top of my dashboard is necessary or not?
I am getting "low satellites" message on my draggy all the time.

Good question.
I have the noise isolating glass too, but the best location would be on the grill on the dash. It's best to have it in the line of site to ensure proper signal and it doesn't move around.
The magnetic plate has double sided tape. Stick it here, put the GPS unit on it.

I highly suggest DRG70. The newest hardware that really accurate
