Innodrive is totally cool. I never cared for cruise controls but it operates so smoothly in traffic, probably more smoothly than any human driver.
It's clearly faster than my 2021 4s was. It takes fast to another level.
I dig the rear wheel steering, it really tightens then turning radius in narrow situations.
The Pepita seats continue to remind me of a sweater I bought in SoHo as a law student. I still have the sweater but seriously doubt I will have a Taycan in the vast number of years from now will take to match the sweater's tenure. Plus I'll be dead.
The seats are more comfortable than the full leather, and I really like the Alacantra.
It's very sensual, especially on the steering wheel and roof liner.
I don't like the faux leather trim on the seats though. I'll remember that on my next order.
Intersection assist is something I really wanted and I'm pleased to have it now.
The looks of the 2021 were not what attracted me to buying it, but I did develop an appreciation for its exterior aesthetic. I find the absence of the teardrop to be inconsequential. The car still looks cool, and actually sleeker. I like sleek.
The PCM seems marginally improved.
All-season tires are definitely noisier than summers. And yes, I have the insulated glass, metal roof.
Tire noise aside, my new Taycan is entirely devoid of any creeks or rattles, which is spectacular. This could change, but it's often been my experience that the worse interior noises are there from the start.
But I digress.
Oh, I wanted Metallic White again, but since it's not offered (aside from the matching thing) this year for a 4s I reluctantly went with white. It was a bit dusty when it was delivered to me(cross-country enclosed truck) and I was not loving it, but then I washed it.
It looks like it drives.
oh ps the Porsche Design Subsonic clock definitely exceeds my expectations. I ordered it mostly because I didn't want a chronograph, but I really enjoy both the look and function. Especially the way it fast-forwards to the current time after the car is dormant.
As for the drive mode push to pass button, I sincerely doubt I'll be thinking "how do I get more power?". Ever, unless maybe I'm driving in Texas again because that place is a state-wide race track.
Do I think the premium over a recent and well appointed CPO is worth it? I thought so, and now I firmly believe so.
