I spent years in the modified car world chasing every tenth on the 1/4 mile. Low 9's took a lot of work and money which these do out of the box.

These numbers are incredible, especially when you can daily drive a luxury car, no maintenance, reliable.

In the world of tuner cars, it's a new ball game with GTRs, huracans and R8s chasing low 2sec 60-130.
Domestic cars shooting for 6s in the 1/4mile.
Spending $500k to mod and lasting a few runs.

No worries, that was an old hobby which I haven't been involved in for years. I've been a full EV convert since 2017, can't wait to get the GT to a drag strip though ?

That was a prepped track surface. Their standardized testing procedures gave it an official 2.1 sec to 60mph.

You're only breaking the law if you get caught ?. I use a radar detector and will drive the planned stretch of road before the actual run to scout for cops and other potential hazards. You would only be breaking the law for about 5 seconds, pretty sure that doesn't even count in the court of law, it's like the dropped food rule.

This is very impressive, but I would love it if porsche would keep the power on full time. Without it the GT power is way less than the competition. What happens if your in the GT and a Plaid comes up next to you on the highway, your gonna loose.

Turbo GT is on my radar. I would for sure get @redshift-performance to upgrade it for full-time 1100hp for this very reason.
The Plaid needs to be fully prepared to get those perfect numbers. This is heating the batteries for 15min.

Taycan is always ready, but it doesn't have those launch control, full-time power, all the time. But there is a solution

It can be done. Redshift is already doing it for the J1 II platform.
The 100-200km on the Turbo GT is 4 sec, so it should be around 4.5 on the 60-130.
4.8 is still very impressive for the Plaid. Are you doing 1/4mile in 9.3seconds?
