Get the VIN and call a Porsche dealer. There are 3 current battery recalls but at this point only one is of immediate concern. ARB5 applies to 193 vehicles where "data analytics showed data anomalies in the high-voltage battery modules." Dealers were notified on October 16th so a VIN search should show if your potential acquisition is subject to that recall. Personally I wouldn't touch a car known to have bad modules. Why bother with a known headache? ARB6 and ARB7 cover every Taycan sold in the US and produced through February 1, 2024. This group needs to be monitored for the potential of bad modules showing up. A risk shared by every Taycan on the road. But at least you won't immediately be driving a charging limited car with known bad cells headed to the dealership for what will likely be a months long repair.
Oh, and you mentioned not liking the charging network. It's not really much better. More options are opening up but reliability is still spotty. YMMV, but I'm a frequent road-tripper and it's always an unknown pulling into any DC charger.
