My 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo, with only 40,000 kilometers, displayed a red error message stating, “Electrical system error, park the vehicle,” despite being stationary. I drove it to work in the morning without any issues, but when I got into the car after work, this error appeared. It’s unacceptable for such an expensive vehicle to develop this kind of issue while parked.

Loading the car onto the tow truck was also very challenging. As we tried to get it on the truck, the battery completely died, and the car shut down entirely, making it impossible to even open the doors. Eventually, an arm-lift tow truck came, and we transported it to the dealership. At the dealership, I was informed that diagnosing the problem would take 7-10 business days. Additionally, when I requested a replacement vehicle, I was told they had none available.

I expect a brand as reputable as Porsche to stand behind its vehicle, especially one at this price point. It’s already frustrating that the car became inoperable while stationary, and I would hope for a stronger commitment to customer support and assurance from Porsche.

And also if you have encountered this issue before can you please inform me forum users because I'am too worried about my car and the progress of my car.

Bluestorm: consider yourself extremely lucky you got 40000 km before the red circle of death. In two years of ownership of my new Taycan... I've only been able to drive it 5km TOTAL !! - due to the RC of D. You are now a new member of an unlucky and unfortunate Taycan owner's club. Be ready for weeks and months of no vehicle use, while it sits at a dealer waiting for parts and qualified battery repair technicians.

Regrettably, I recently joined this club. 2020 Taycan 4s. Almost completely problem free for 4 years.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago the red circle of death arrived. The car was towed to the dealership and I got a diagnosis of "a failed fuel cell". Described as a single one in the entire battery pack. Although I am skeptical about that.

PAG was contacted just over two weeks ago for guidance. No response as yet.

After I complained, the dealership provided me with a loaner car. Based upon the threads read on this site, the time of year (Christmas around the corner) and the lack of prompt guidance from Porsche, I suspect my Taycan will be there a long time.

an update on my red circle of death issues. PAG finally advised my dealer (2.5 weeks after input sought) that they will replace my entire battery. No ETA as yet.
