I have a 2023 Taycan GTS that I purchsed a couple weeks ago (CPO). I've owned quite a few sports cars and always have PPF applied to at least the entire front end. This is the first time I've had unpainted trim pieces (ie. lower lip spoiler, side skirts, etc.) and was correctly told they cannot apply PPF to these unpainted parts.

My question is, what options have you used to smooth out the surface of the unpainted parts, including the lower lip spoiler, in order to allow for PPF application? Or... is there another method besides PPF that sticks to the unfinished part and looks good?

I'm also willing to buy a gloss black replacement lip spoiler, but I've only been able to locate the unpainted version. Does anyone know where I can find one? It is an option when purchasing the cars, but even the dealer says they can't just order one in gloss black. If anyone has a painted (gloss black) lower lip spoiler that fits a 2023 GTS, reach out to me please.

I would also be interested in hearing from anyone with experience using after market carbon fiber covers for the "wings" of the lip spoiler (see example photo I found online). I've seen similar covers sold on eBay but they all come from China and I'm not sure the risk (several hundred dollars) is worth it without hearing from someone who has actually used them.

I have a GTS as well. I got a front lip spoiler in carbon fiber but it doesn't cover the flat plastic completely. The first photo below shows how it looks.

If you look closely, you'll notice that I had my air curtains and tear ducts painted gloss black. You could always get the front spoiler piece painted either gloss black or you can even have it matched to the body, like in the 2nd picture below.

Dealers will rip you off on other fees but registration is one that is hard to do.
Watch for Doc fees cause that's an easy one.

You can post your fees to double check.
Wow this one looks amazin.
Do you remember where you saw this?
IMO this one doesn't look tacky and almost like OEM.
Couldn't find anything like this on ebay.

So after looking around more, I may be mistaken thinking the lip was something aftermarket.
I have a GTS and didn't realize the front lip looks different than that of the Turbo.

That is my car indeed.
Turbo S has carbon as standard, lol.
Note the plastic middle part is now gloss black (and PPF).
Actually, all plastic is gloss black now.
Much more classy imho.

Sorry I can't help you with fitting of aftermarket carbon.
Still, Chinese product are pretty good nowadays and for the price it's worth a try.

Thanks for sharing! Looks awesome, I'm seriously considering going for the Turbo look.
Looks like suncoast has it: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produ...bTHNWihoTKV8fgEXHllHu2ZttSZrxcrIQbvWZVdaZjrVr

My car is arriving next Tuesday so will have to see if I feel like doing it!

Not recommended. You could fill, prime and paint it but it would be a waste of time, energy and money. My whole car is PPF’d except for that lip and with nearly 40K miles there is no damage on it.

is it that much involved?
Thought it would be a rather simple lip change + some paint work.
