Carscanner app is free, you just need an OBD2 device to connect to the car. I have the Obdlink one, but I remember seeing a post where a cheaper one still works.

Had to immediately test this. Excellent tip! Thanks!
Never thought of looking into the carplay-app.

So, you don't need the Draggy product or App to do this - it's part of the Carscanner function?

I think Dragy is more precise, as it uses GPS.
It's quite expensive also, for just recording acceleration. Not worth the price to me.
With Carscanner, you can also use the phone app to measure acceleration, but in Carplay it's a lot more comfy.

Links to devices that work? Does it also do 1/4 mile?

This is what I have. I can’t recall the exact post but like 2 weeks ago I saw someone mentioned being able to connect to car scanner with a $15 or so device. No 1/4 mile afaik, it’s just this screen. The other screens show other info like motor RPM, current draw, etc.

The car scanner app is just records what the car stores via OBD2 so it's pretty accurate as the car knows when it's at 0 to 60mph. I have both app and vigate scanner but haven't really used it on the Taycan.

Need to find a private road to do a launch :)

it does. you can add it as a new test (Android here, but I'm pretty sure it also works on iPhone)

The problem is it also gets noise. GPS will always be more accurate. Dragy also monitors slope, so you know if your time is affected by going uphill/downhill. I've had one for a few years and it works great for everything from 0-60, quarter mile, 60-130, and custom setups (i've even used it to test 60-0 braking performance)
