Can’t log into PCM after trip to dealer where they put it in privacy mode?

So, picked up car a week ago from dealer after some work and as per usual they put it in privacy mode and as per usual I have issues logging back in, normally the LTE.

This time it won’t let me log into my account. The option is there but when I select it I just get spinning circle on the screen then it fails to log in. It then reverts to privacy mode. I can choose to be a guest and this gets the 3d maps working and takes it out of privacy mode but as soon as the car is at rest it goes back into privacy mode. Really annoying as buggers up charging programs etc.

I’ve tried the 2 finger reset. Do I need to delete the account. Worried if I delete the account it will be stuck in privacy mode?

Always do for some reason. Obviously can book it back in but won’t get a hire car and massively inconvenient getting it there and back. Hoping there’s a simpler solution.

I would be asking them to come and fix it. Also stating when handing it in NOT to put it in privacy mode.
They bust it whilst servicing/fettling, they need to fix it asap with as little impact on you as possible...

When the service advisor hands the car back they get in the car with me and check all is well before I leave. The privacy mode was left on as usual last time but all it took was for me to turn it off. Not understanding why you have issues with account log in, that’s the weird part.

I should have raised when there but had been waiting for ages and the dealer area for whatever reason always has bad LTE signal so just presumed would sort itself out. I’ve never had this issue, just trying to ascertain if there’s anything I can do to avoid another trip back.

I’m pondering deleting the account and re setting up, but not sure if will cause me more issues.

Yeah, what a gigantic pain @Nickj. Hopefully somebody will be along who has seen this, LTE loss and/or account login issues do seem to happen quite a bit.

All I can offer is I had unexplained LTE loss couple of months ago, went down the list of suggestions (pulling fuses included) and was about to go nuclear and disconnect the 12v battery but decided to try activating privacy mode and deactivating after 30 minutes. LTE came back and so far has stayed back. Doubt that has particular relevance for your situation, but I have seen posts advising not to logout or delete accounts so I’d be wary of that.

I am not sure what you mean by 'the car is at rest' when you can take it out of privacy mode, try putting privacy mode back on and repeat, before coming out of GUEST mode.

I am not sure what you mean by 'the car is at rest' when you can take it out of privacy mode, try putting privacy mode back on and repeat, before coming out of GUEST mode.

By rest I mean when I turn the car off, it goes back into privacy mode. Each time I start it lets me take it out of privacy mode but only to put in guest mode.

I’ve contacted the dealer and I have a Porsche tech emailing me some advice, but so far, delete account and log back in after a factory pcm reset, but has made no difference ( bar me having to re do all my memory settings!)
