PS: Yes for all those asking PCM updates will be available, including update to 43XX on 9J1.1 Taycan via a firmware patched by CT14 to launch update from versions 3882 or 3885.

However this will be behind manual approval, and with clear warnings that there are REAL possibilities of bricking your PCM. And once that happens there is NO FIX WHATSOEVER except replacing the PCM unit (which requires clearing component protection with PIWIS and PPN)
CT14 will not and shall not be held liable for any damages or monetary losses from starting this update.

This is a bug with Porsche's PCM and has nothing to do with us, we also have no way of fixing this or improving your chances. Even official Porsche dealers brick PCMs during updates quite frequently. There is nothing I or anyone can do about it.

Trust me I'm more annoyed than anyone else, as an independent garage which services over 200 Taycans we have also bricked our fair share of PCMs and have had to pay them out of pocket....
Is this something you've tested and proved that it can be success or just getting people to try and pray?

It's tried. 1 unit succeeds for every 2 killed. So 1/3 are the odds.

33% chance of success.. 66% almost 70% chance of dead PCM.

Nothing I can do about it.

This is awesome! Essentially, we'd able to perform the coding/programming part of any TSB? Add PR codes or request enabling/activation codes as one would via PRMS?

This! I assume you can't make it happen without PIWIS on the J1.2 due to the updated security.
You can make it happen. STEUER14 comes with a manual SFD2 exchange where you can generate the request token, have it signed by someone who has PPN/FAZIT and input the signed response then SFD2 is unlocked and you can do whatever you want.

There are some people offering this services to sign your tokens online in Alibaba and what not.

I may automate it at some point with my own accounts, but it's risky cuz if Porsche finds out I will get f***d LOL

Awesome work @ct14garage ! I love my 2020 model and hope to keep it a long time. These developments really help to have confidence that in the future we can fix potential problems 😅

You shouldn’t offer it, no matter how much J1.1 owners (including me) want it. What you’d effectively be saying is that "I tried updating the PCM, bricked two out of three units, but feel free to give it a go and risk bricking yours too."

Why not? With a properly visible disclaimer and a strong user override process in place, why not letting the people taking the risk they want to take?

I agree it's a very risky process. But if someone REALLY wants this and has money to spare, he should be able to do it, for as long as there's complete awareness of the potential consequences.
