Yes. My entire drive unit was replaced at ~800 miles on my '21 RWD. First gear noise/issue. The problem came back a short time after. Car has since been sold.
As much as I adore the excellent drive characteristics of Taycan, I had to sell mine due to the gearbox problem mentioned on here. When the first gear noise came back a short time after drive unit replacement, Porsche essentially told me too bad. I even asked for any type of extended warranty on...
2 months and ~800 miles in and my 2021 was in the dealer service dept. for 9 weeks due to the entire drive unit replacement. It's a shame because they drive SO well. It has been sold for awhile.
I gave up last year. Got Taycan back and sold it. Funny story - I sold my Model 3 for a Taycan in 2021. No more EV in my stable - I'm driving all vintage now. Nothing newer than 2002.
