I have a Taycan 4S with 76k km (2021). The range is still pretty much the same as when I bought it. In the summer I get at best around 480 km (almost 300 miles) and in the winter at worst 280 km (174 miles). The drop-off here in Finland is significant in the winter especially when temperatures...
I live in the same country as OP. I have had almost 20 BMW:s between me and my wife in the past. I have always loved the brand and they still make some great cars, M340i, M3CS and M5CS ( probably one of the best cars BMW ever made) just to name a few. The G80 platform is great with its unlimited...
At least here in Finland they have replaced/ are replacing all the heaters. It's also a much faster procedure now, mine was upgraded to new version on the same day as I had the 60k service.
I haven't owned a last gen M5 but many other M-cars and I have driven the F90 multiple times, also on a track. If space is not a problem, I would personally never choose an F90 over a Taycan. I have never felt like being "attached" to the car, when driving it. The steering is nowhere as good as...
RAS and heated steering wheel only regrets. Though the difference with RAS is not as big (imho) as some people here say but I have a super tight parking slot in my other home in Germany, so everything would help.
I must have been out of my mind not choosing the heated steering wheel, which is...
Luckily I had a few M-cars before the Taycan and in compared to those, the road noise is fine. I barely notice any noice, neither on the 20" summer or 20" winters.
If you come from an Merc S-class or BMW 700-series, I guess the Taycan is louder. But then again, I dont think you can get a sporty...
I like both options, but could do without the ambient lightning. I disagree with many here on the pano regarding front seats. It clearly lights the car also in the front and makes interior feel slightly bigger. Had a loaner from Porsche without the pano and felt more cramped in the car ?.
Pano...
I have driven 63 500 km so far with my 2021 4S.
Range seems not to have dropped at all, I visited south Germany again and in 20C weather I got almost 500 km with full charge. The mountains do help with range but the range is exactly the same as in summer of 2021 when I first drove from Finland...
We have our second home in southern Bavaria. I live mainly in Finland. I have driven many times from Finland (boat to Stockholm) to Germany and also visit Austria regularly. Been to Italy, too. I mainly charge only on Ionitys, as they are way cheaper. Very rarely have I had a problem on Ionity...
Apart from home charging I basically have only used Ionity. Now we also have a good network of Ionity chargers in Finland.
I think using the RFID card is super easy. It always works. Have driven many times from Stockholm to Austria so quite familiar with Ionity. Great chargers and great price...
Dont know about extremely rare. At our second home in the Alps I get regularly 500km. It's a strange thing this in the mountains. The regen is so good that I get more range when driving up and down than on the flat. Sounds crazy but its been proved many times.
In Finland in the summer the range...
Have to disagree. I have driven every M-car apart from rare models and the F10 is the worst M-car I have driven. The F90 M5 only slightly behind. Very soft suspension and lacking every sharpness in steering. The DCT is nice though.
F90:s worst part is the transmission. The 8-speed torque...
It's hard to say what to avoid. Maybe I would not take the Sport Sound anymore. I never use it.
Must havs for me:
-PB+
-panoroof
-Sport chrono
-Bose
-leather
-14 way seats (like them way more than the 18:s)
I guess here in Finland heat pump is good, too. But it's hard to compare/ to know if it...
This I dont understand at all. I have driven my Taycan 4S several times from Stockholm to Bavaria/ Tirol and never have had any problems. The time for the 1800 km is max 1 hour more than in my earlier car 2016 M3. The Ionity infrastructure is fantastic already now and it's building more and more...
You have crazy interest rates. At our porsche dealer in Espoo we get 4,95.
I thought of changing my 4s to gts but as I have 1,95% on my car, the 4,95 is just too high.
I just bought 2 years extra warranty for my 4S, so I will keep it for some longer time for sure.
Add one to November. I was 4 weeks without heating in Southern Finland but learned to drive my Taycan still. Long underpants, beanie and warm gloves. Air condition at zero and when windscreen started to frost, turned Range mode on (with eco+) for a short while. Luckily we didn't have...
I dont like the i7 either but have to say, to my eyes all Merc EV:s look much worse. They look so fat and round, horrible designs. The i4 looks very decent when you see it live and the new iX1 is a nice design. I have yet to see a nice looking Merc EV.
My brother in law has a Panamera E-hybrid 2018 and I really like his car. Its responsive and turns very well for a big car. There is quite a difference to the Taycan though, which we both agreed on. I have a 4S with PB+, no RWS but otherwise nicely specced. It feels smaller and more agile than...
