There are cases when a car cannot be fixed under warranty in a reasonable time. They will be doing multiple attempts keeping a car for a non defined period. In that case, one expects to protect their consumer rights and ask the seller (any car dealership that sold the car. It can be a new car or a barely used one, but still under manufacture warranty) to cancel the purchase agreement.

But it doesn’t work and it’s not easy. In the case of the op, he was only able to negotiate 30% discount, but he still keeps the car. That’s it. And given it still has the extended warranty, he brought the car to the official dealer. Under no circumstances he can present any claims to Porsche (let it be an official dealer or the manufacturer). I believe he cannot also present any claims to the seller either as they have settled the problem.

I went through a similar path - bought a 1 year old BMW that went straight to a service and spent there 7 months. Hired an attorney and was able to return the car to the original seller. You cannot present any claims to the official dealer or the manufacturer. It simply doesn’t work in Europe. The seller is responsible. That’s it
Sounds like the path forward is still to get it fixed under warranty and move on. I can’t imagine how frustrating this has to have been.

He could have also pushed for contact annulment in which case he would have gotten all the money back. But as I understand the seller of the car is going bankrupt (or about to go), and in this case there was a high chance he would have not gotten anything at all, that's probably why his lawyer also advised him to take the 30%.

A short update.
** 13.11.25 - Porsche Assistance collects car at 47936 km with flatbed as it does not charge with AC or DC.
25.11.25 - PAG finally accepts the need to change OBC. Downgrade from 22 kW to 11 kW. 1 year warranty will be added.
11.12.25 - Warranty repair ready. We agreed they will test the car during one week while I try to negotiate K-auto to buy the car.
18.12.25 - PC Espoo tells the car runs and charges now normally. Porsche Finland Vice President replies 'we understand your frustration.. will propose buy which compensates the harm'.
5.1.26 - After several mails a car sales guy offers 45k€. Cheapest on sale at nettiauto.fi 57 800 € at the same time.
I asked if this really should compensate this mayhem in their mind??
9.1.26 - PC Espoo informs they need to change the heater.

Easy because the Trashcan is still on their backyard.

Trying to continue negotiating about the price.

New decals for Trashcan - if I have to still keep it. My AD will change the correct font there..

No buyback deal with K-mart/K-auto/Kesko (dealer in Finland). I have to keep this rotten piece.
After last warranty repair - Red Circle of Death just after taking down from flatbed:
B182D16: HV heater 2, Voltage too low
P05AF00: Active Grille Air Shutter "B" Stuck On.

Photo no more AI generated.
