A 2021 4S with a 2025 battery

Have you noticed any difference in performance? J1.1, the performance goes down quite a bit based on SoC of the battery - you won't get same power at 50% or even at 70% as you did at 95%.well, I guess this is the only upside from having my car at Porsche Service for almost 4 months...![]()

I’ve never experienced any loss in power unless I’m at 5%Have you noticed any difference in performance? J1.1, the performance goes down quite a bit based on SoC of the battery - you won't get same power at 50% or even at 70% as you did at 95%.
On j1.2 this behavior is mostly gone, mostly due to the new battery.
Any difference in battery per-conditioning? In theory, 15C is enough now for max charging speed. So maybe not needed at all.
Any difference in High speed charging curve? J1.2 batteries are capable of holding 250kw+ all the way to 80%, in what test drives/charging sessions I've done. Does this apply to you also now?
You are the first on the forum to confirm getting a new chemistry battery in a j1.1
Maybe @prj would like some info from your car![]()
That's bullshit and we have hard proof, graphs and numbers courtesy of @prj.I’ve never experienced any loss in power unless I’m at 5%
The grey bar around the power meter shows you when it drops power
So how do I still get a 3s launch at 25%?That's bullshit and we have hard proof, graphs and numbers courtesy of @prj.
Power absolutely drops with SoH on j1.1
Because Porsche always over-delivers on those time metrics. At 100% you'd probably get a better time.So how do I still get a 3s launch at 25%?
Or are you taking small % drops? which would make your original question to the OP a bit ambiguous as that would imply he has a fine tuned butt dyno
I must have a special car huh![]()
You don't get 3s launches on your 4S period.So how do I still get a 3s launch at 25%?

He has a Turbo, judging from his avatar. You don't get 3s launches on your 4S period.
The specified time for a PBP 4S Sedan is 4.0 seconds 0-100km/h from Porsche.
Even tuned they don't get below 3.3 seconds. ''3s launch" implies 3.0 seconds, which is fantasy land.
At 25% you are at 4 seconds or above.
Use at least a semi-professional tool to measure, like Dragy.
Power wise during normal driving, yes you are probably not going to feel much difference in a stock 4S at 25%, because it is detuned to just 489 PS out of the 800 PS that the battery is capable of anyway. So you don't feel anything until half the power is gone.
But in launch mode it starts to degrade there.
If he has a Turbo and he can't feel that the car is losing power below 30% (even stock) then he probably isn't very sensitive to the performance of the car.He has a Turbo, judging from his avatar.
That said, I felt reduced performance in both my Taycans when SoC dropped below 25-30%
I haven't had it long enough to notice anything yet, and the weather has been sloppy - hard to have fun in it. I drove it about a week before i charged it up and saw this. Now - as i'm driving i don't think that 276 (or so) will be legit...Have you noticed any difference in performance?
