This is 99.9% EA related. When I charge in Europe at 15% or below SoC it straight jumps to 260kw. I ran a 260kp/h session on the Autobahn on a hot day down to 10% and got straight 260kw at the charger, even though the car and battery were pretty hot.
Thinking about bringing my thermal camera around to check handle temps and see how they correlate. In past i had always chose the ones in the shade but all were in the sun this trip.

Since that post every time i find a shaded or cool area charger (even with high battery temp) it goes to 270, wonder if we can cool the handle a bit

I think that you are onto something, somewhere I read that the EA units have issues when it is sunny and hot.
so if you are able to time your charging you might have better luck charging
