19.2kW (AC) charging option on Taycan?

Talked to Porsche Denmarks Taycan specialist who informed me that 22kW charger on-board will be an option from the 2021 production (starts june 2020). Price is expected to be around 10.000 DKK which corrected for taxes etc should be around 1.000 USD.
Dont know if the Connect Charger which comes with the car will be upgraded to a 22 kW one..

Great to hear that the option is coming.
But the price seems excessive, especially compared to the upgrade from 50 to 150 kW DC charging, which is about half of that? Probably too early to be exact as yet?

I sure hope it will be possible for us early adopters to upgrade existing cars. Otherwise this will be yet another thing we miss out on.

Hi Craig-

As of now there will not be a retrofit solution for 11kW OBC to the 22 kW OBC. If your customer wants the 22kW OBC, I would wait until we announce it in the future. I love to tell you exactly when, but I can’t give you an exact date as of now.
