PS> Worth noting, that even though the dealer went tick happy on options, they did NOT spec PMCC. Good for them! Maybe it was because they speced the 19.2KW onboard charger so they will recommend the PWCC, which is not available as a factory option for some reason.

Hey guys. Just picked up my 2021 Taycan Cross Tursimo 4S.

I test drove a local CT for the first time a week ago and fell in love. Initially went to go sit in one hoping I'd hate it and could write it off the list, but plans quickly changed. I really wanted to do European Delivery, but the year+ wait and now the threads of part shortages make me very happy I found an awesome spec car.

I was returning to Nashville after a trip to California with a connection in Dallas. While on the trip I found this CT 4S in Dallas that was VERY high option list. Ended up buying it and doing all paperwork while away. Hopped off the plane during my connection, caught and Uber and then I was off in my new car. Drove straight home that night at close to 700 miles and 4 charges.

I'm absolutely in love it and very very happy I went with the 4S over the 4 (drove both). I am absolutely blown away with the Burmester sound system, how well the car drives in general, and how nice the ergonomics & features are. Ironically though, the "foot garage" might be one of my favorite things considering I'm 6'3".

Anyhow, enough talking, pics!

Well done Derek! Yea it was. Pretty easy drive all in all. First time i have made the drive myself!

Well, I've got a dual plug Grizzl-e charger set to be delivered on Saturday and electrician coming out Monday to finish install. I went with a dual plug just for future options or if a friend is over. Figured 1 install price but more flexibility. Hopefully we can get a 40amp breaker installed to have 32amp charging. But I may be limited to 30amp for 24amp charging due to my panel.

Also I dropped the car off yesterday for paint correction, ceramic coating (inside as well), and expel clear PPF on the front clip. Ended up having 2 small rock chips on the front bumper and had to get a touch up pen from Porsche. For whatever reason in their parts system, they do not show a paint pen for K5J Frozen Blue when looking at my VIN or Taycan. However, I found the part for a 911 and ordered that. Weird situation but glad it was available with overnight shipping.

Based on the suggestions here, I've ordered a Blackvue DR900X 2 camera set up and I ordered the OBD2 Plug for my Valentine One radar. So hopefully in a week or two both of those will be installed as well!

Congrats. Just picked up my wife's Taycan C4 (formerly mine) from transshipper in Arlington, Texas and made the same route drive back to GA. Took me 18 hrs but actually wasn't that bad of a drive. Total of 5 stops at same places which you seem to have done as the other poster...sights looked familiar. Added a final stop to ensure the car was topped off upon arrival at home since our charger installation was not until 4-5 days later and wife would need the car and not that many fast Electrify Americas on our side south of ATL. Overall car did great with full charges in less than 30 mins each stop. Worst was 7% to 90% state of charge at about 1AM somewhere in TN at an EV America stop at a strip mall somwehere...near or outside Murrfresboro, TN. But I did arrive okay and only got tired somewher around the 12-14hr mark which I think in part is due to the number of 20 min stops require to charge the car. Not bad just a. different way of driving and planning ones trip...when the network expands more will get a lot more easier in the future also!

Got our set up done tho and I went with an Wallbox 48A hardwired setup in our garage and added a 2nd charger so we can charge two EVs separately as I have an Audi SQ-8 E Tron Sportback on order now after canceling my BMW i4 M50 order. Installer was able to do 2 60 amp breakers separately for us so charging should not be limited at all! . In the interim the free 30 mins Electrify America charging sessions should help and I must say that spending $0.00 overall on the drive home was a pleasant surprise also....as it was my first time using the EA network since I purchased the car while outside the US. As there is also an EA charger system in the next parking lot at my wife's work location she can really always have charging capability if needed and for free to some part! . Not bad at all...
