Hello,
I'm thinking about changing my wheels (20" aero wheel, design really not to my taste) and I don't know what size to choose for my new wheels. So I would like to know if you had the opportunity to drive with 20" and 21" rims (summer) and what are the differences you felt in the comfort and handling of the car.
Thanks for your feedback.

Did anyone have experience with 22" rims

Cheers

Tim

I have 20” winter and 21” summer tires.
20” are making less noise, they are more comfortable (more rubber), while 21” looks much (much, much) better.
also, 21” should have larger consumption, but my data doesn’t show that.
looks that higher temperatures makes some compensation, since my daily routes are the same adn my consumption went down, compared to winter…

note: i’m not an expert, so i just wrote my feelings.

I've driven both and like the smoother, quieter ride from 20". I've also read in these threads that 21" tires provide better handling (they're wider with less sidewall height) than 20". No 22" experience.

If better handling is more important than comfort/quiet, then 21" tires are for you. And they look better than 20". HTH...

Can also consider splitting the difference and going with lower profile tires on the 20s (and getting aftermarket 20s). I'm planning to do 255/40/20 and 295/35/20 on aftermarket 20 inch wheels, which from a sidewall perspective are between the factory 20 setup and factory 21s
