I can charge on the ac 22kw no problem. Am using the app (charge car) I can get the chargers to start but the car doesn’t seem to take any juice. Then when I change over to ac works no problem.- Have you tried more than one 50KW Charger?
- Can you charge at a higher power charger? (150KW, 350KW)?
- Have you had success charging at ANY Public Charger?
- How are your trying to "start" the charge? What software, etc are you using?
- Where does the charging process "fail"?
It’s not the Porsche app am using.Which app? Porsche App?
Eliminate the Porsche App from the equation (for testing). See if you can start the charging session using just a CC or the App supplied by the Charging Network (NOT Porsche). Porsche Software is crap and known to be problematic. Lets try to get that out of the way first...
OK...It’s not the Porsche app am using.
2 different chargers but same app. Both chargers accepting payment and lights turning blue to indicate chargers ready just car didn’t take them.OK...
Same charging network/same app which works/doesn't work?
Is this the SAME 50KW charging terminal which refuses to charge your car or have you tried OTHER 50KW terminals?
Is THIS relevant?
Also had it on direct charge and not through a profile. So am thinking it must be something to do with the car or the setup.
There really is no "setup". You just plug the car in and activate the charge. There really is nothing you need to configure wrt the car...So am thinking it must be something to do with the car or the setup.
"Direct Charge" is irrelevant (as are profiles) when doing Public DC Charging. High Power Public DC Charging is always "Direct Charging". You just start the charge...Also had it on direct charge and not through a profile.
Everything I've read says you gotta plug in BEFORE you activate the charge. My steps are
Open app click on the charger I want to use.
It then says start charge
Looks to see if it’s available then says follow instructions before starting so I then plug everything in then click start and nothing.
Ok will give it a go again tomorrow and see. Thanks for your help budEverything I've read says you gotta plug in BEFORE you activate the charge.
Have the car plugged in and THEN activate the charge via the app. See if that helps...
