We had poor performance on our 20 4S and one of the passenger side center vent never blew cold air at all. Dealer was kind enough to get the car in: R1234YF was just under 300grms instead of the expected 900. They found no obvious source of leak. We paid $800+ to recharge the system and will monitor performance.

Does any else have any ideas or suggestions? We did have the HV battery replaced about 9mos ago. Not sure if that had anything to do with this issues. I’m worried we have both an AC leak and a weak blend door motor.

thx,

$800 for a recharge and they didn’t find the leak?

I’d take it to a normal AC shop where they’ll add some dye, do a leak detection and only charge $150 to recharge it.

Unpopular opinion on a Porsche forum, but especially for something like AC work, I wouldn’t doubt out of warranty work at the Porsche dealer.

The hard part is it may be the evaporator with a slow leak….. and it’s buried deep inside the dash and hard to access.

If it’s a very slow leak, I’d just keep recharging it once a year or so and monitor it (but recharge at the cheap shop).
