AC temperature

Temps in California are getting into the 100s. This is the first summer I’ve owned my Taycan. How long does it take the AC to start pumping very cool air when it’s that hot outside? Driving around for 10 mins and the air is just starting to go from warm to a little cooler. Is that normal or does it need looked at?

Also make sure you’re using focused instead of diffused. I’d have the dealer look at it for sure though.

Yes, I’m on focused. Temp comes down after about 5-10 mins but still not very cold

That is not functioning properly. The AC is really great in mine.

It’s already cold if you remember to pre cool it 20 minutes before you leave. I presume you are pressing the AC Max button and not the defrost button like I did

Yep. AC max. I was driving around for 10/15 mins and the air was not blowing cold. AC max, not ECO mode etc.

Tbh I wish they had proper climate control buttons, it feels more likley to malfunction and harder to control while driving if it’s all on one touchscreen.

FWIW, we're in Northern Virginia with recents temps in the 90s w/ high humidity. Taycan is set to Eco A/C and the car holds set point of 72F, no problem. Also, we have the sunroof. Time to reach set point when sitting in the sun is less than 5 minutes. Just started testing vented seats and that makes it even more comfortable. So far, I don't see the need to shift to normal A/C.
