After purchase options???

Okay there are a few options I left off my 22 Taycan CT that I would now add or consider. Wonder how easy they are. Mostly am talking about the following:

1. Intelligent Range Manger Software
2. upgraded charging options
3. Sport sound
4. advanced rear 4 zone climate controls
5. off road package
6. Remote park
7. Heated GT Steering wheel
8. CF interior trim
9. Passenger Display
10. On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charge or any onboard charge upgrade?

Anyone added any of these post delivery? If so how and happy with retrofit/upgrade? Thanks

In my opinion, you would be better off looking for a car with them or ordering a new one. Except for no. 1, which is available as FOD, all the rest except maybe no. 7, are prohibitively expensive to fit retroactively. Some I am sure are even not available. Sorry.

Sports Sound can be a retrofit and is listed on Porsche Tequipment site along with other items.

Most of what you listed likely not and the costs as mentioned, prohibitive.

Its a UK £354 factory option. Its a £1554 retrofit probably plus Xtras!
The other things are either not available or even more prohibitively
and comically expensive.

You never know what you do and dont want until you have your car!
After I bought mine I realised that Crayon looked MILES better with black window trim and badge.
Thats £245 plus £168 factory options. Every time I saw a pale Taycan I liked mine less!
2 mates bought Taycans. A Frozen Blue CT4 and an Ice Silver Turbo S.
Both standard Black trim, made me jealous.
Bizzarely I think dark Taycans look BETTER with the chrome.
I got a quote to retrofit window trim and badge and it was over £3000!
I thought **** that!

There has never been a better time to sell a Taycan although I dont know the Hawaii market!
I sold mine for a profit and I ordered a GTS in Crayon which has black bits as standard so its a win win.

Imagine 100+ hours more fun on the configurator and you get the car you want!
As well as the stuff you want but didnt get there must be stuff that you got but now
realise you didnt want OR need. Might end up being similar in price?

1. No - see no benefit for the investment
2. 440/150kw option cannot be retrofitted
3. gimmick
4. not worth it (small cabin)
6. I can park just fine and have been for decades
7. best to order car with it - not sure $ to retrofit
8. aluminum rhombus looks better IMO and less $
9. gimmick
10. CANNOT be retrofitted

Time to order a new car for most of those. Just too costly after the fact. Far cheaper when you are ordering.

The comments above that after purchase adds are more expensive and therefore better to add in the build are spot on. That said, sometimes you just change your mind. With that considered:

2. upgraded charging options - VERY HARD
3. Sport sound - MODERATE
4. advanced rear 4 zone climate controls - HARD
5. off road package - I don’t know about this one
6. Remote park - EASY
7. Heated GT Steering wheel - HARD
8. CF interior trim - MODERATE (More to remove than you would expect)
9. Passenger Display - VERY HARD
10. On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charge or any onboard charge upgrade - VERY HARD (I don’t know what the difference is between this one and #2, so maybe I don’t understand the option you’re thinking of.)

By the way, “VERY HARD” is pretty much my way of saying impossible, but I don’t necessarily know that it’s impossible, VERY HARD is the response.

2. no option for this unless you are talking about the plug side and didnt opt for the u/g
3. comes with Premium Pkg. its gimmicky if you dont have it, not sure 500 bucks is worth it.

You should vinyl wrap it in gloss black - just as good as factory and with trim parts done correctly, not a chance anyone could see the difference.

Here is a Q7 before after - aside from the wheel change, all of the black accents you see were done with vinyl wrap (exhaust tips were cerakote):

Yes I see...only things that really made any reasonable sense $$ was were Sport Sound and the Range Manager...but only one I can add when I go online is the Sport Sound option. The rest I agree are better when ordering a car.

Overall..am happy with my CT4 but if the opportunity comes around for an upgrade to a CT4 or GTS then may look at the opportunity cost vs savings and time lines. Not many allocations out there tho at MSRP from what I hear. Hey 1st world problems right?
