So, unfortunately, I had to use the Porsche Tire Sealing Kit, which was frankly as thin as milk (brand new car - brand new bottle) and was useless. Not spending $100 for tire milk. Slime brand is $10 and allegedly TPMS safe. Used it on my bikes, other cars in emergency, tractors, etc. Has anyone used it instead of Porsche milk?

100$ seems reasonable given what I paid for it ?
For my MY23 I did not option a Sealing Kit (and my dealer did not advice me to order it part of my config). Even though in the configurator the kit’s price was 60 euros , I actually paid it 300+ euros as a separate item. I went with it because I had no clue which kit would work properly with my 21 in tires
Therefore I am also interested to know whether anyone tried other brands of kits.

There isn't much room to get under/around to use these sorts of kits, especially if you're on the hard shoulder in the dark and rain.

I keep a tin of this in the car as it's supposed to inflate the tyre as well as block the hole etc. Seems better than using goop and the compressor. Apparently tyre can be repaired after use, while porsche stuff renders tyres unrepairable.

Disclaimer - i've never actually used it, so it might be crap!

I prefer the pressurized can of slime that inflates the tire as it seals it. I also carry a repair kit to patch nail/screw holes in tires.

I have used Slime on my BMW M5. Works like a charm and TPMS works fine. Make sure you tell the tire change guys before you get new tires. They hate the stuff, it's messy and can be flammable.

Some types of EV-spec tires such as a couple different types of NF0 rated tires I use on the Taycan have a sound absorbing foam strip inside. How well does tire sealant work when injected into a tire that has a foam strip inside? I’m struggling to imagine how the sealant makes its way to the leak in preference to getting soaked up into the foam.

I just got a CPO 2020 4S, and this is what came in the frunk. I've got the sealant bottle, but am I missing the compressor? I have no idea how to use this stuff, have never had a car that supplied these things as opposed to a spare of some form... Sorry for newbie question.

I would reach out to the dealer and politely require them to make it right. You should not have been let out without those two items. Porsche is not your KIA. They tend to make things right and not complain.

Now if they don't, you can get those compressors dime a dozen off ebay. I decided to get that TPMS-safe green good for $15. Not paying for an inferior $100 Porsche-branded one.

Thanks, will do just that, appreciate the info! If you happen to have a link to the one you bought that fits the space on the right correctly, that would be wonderful.... Thanks again!
