Apple Map EV Routing not getting enabled

Hello,

I am not able to toggle “Share my Vehicle Data” in the “Sharing Vehicle Data with Apple Maps” section in MyPorsche app for “Apple Maps EV Routing” function. I have tried all remedial steps suggested for configuration in my iPhone 17 Pro and MyPorsche app. I also rebooted PCM without any success. I recently had PCM related recall taken care of. Can that be the reason? I have 2023 Taycan 4S if that matters for this question. Can someone please help?

I have EV routing and it (mostly) works. That toggle you reference looks to be Off for me and I cannot toggle it either. Seems like a bug in the app.

If you’ve already tried the instructions at the top of that screen (which involve doing convoluted things in Apple Maps app), and are using Wireless CarPlay, and still don’t have EV battery info in Apple Maps, then the next things I’d try would be various forms of unpairing CarPlay or the car.

I have had the same problem since one of the recent updates (iOS or Porsche app, don’t know which). The toggle is “inactive”. Would like to know when someone finds the fix.

When I’m having trouble with this feature, I go to Apple Maps, click on my face icon next to the search bar, select Vehicles”, select the Taycan, then scroll to the bottom and click on “Remove this Vehicle”. The next step is to go to the My Porsche app and reenable the Apple CarPlay EV feature. Click on vehicle details, then on Functions, then Apple Maps EV Routing.

Of course you might’ve already tried this, but I wanted to be sure that you knew about it. Good luck!

Is this connected somehow to region or subscription to Porsche Connect?

For me, in Maps settings, I have EV routing and My Porsche enabled, however no sign of any integration whatsoever.

Yes, I tried that also with no success. So you have the Apple map EV routing working even if you are not able to toggle the option I mentioned? I am not able to see any battery % information or charging station in the Apple Map when I use for navigation.

I have not tried the suggestion you gave. Let me try that. Thanks for the response and workaround.

I think this may have to do with PCM update/replacement that happened or iOS update.

My Apple Maps settings shows an additional setting "Improve EV Routing" between the two photo settings. I also cannot toggle the apple maps data sharing setting in the My Porsche App. I wonder if there is something linked between them.

Yes, and when I set it up it on the Apple Maps side, Maps asked me if I wanted to share my vehicle data with the app and I said yes. Looks like everything is controlled through Maps (sharing) instead of the Porsche app.
